Let’s take some height, and a lot of it. In the United States, in the state of Colorado, about 5,000 cars and other vintage vehicles have been stored outdoors, and this for years. The team of the YouTube channel Dolloff Antiques Garage sent a drone into the sky to film this car cemetery where you can find almost everything, from vehicles marketed from the early 1950s to the 1990s.
Can we consider this strange place, located in Colorado, as an urban exploration (urbex) site? The answer to this question is no, because despite the fact that 5,000 cars and other four-wheelers have been “asleep” for decades, everything seems to be well organized. Indeed, seen from the sky, thanks to a drone, this car cemetery could almost be considered a gigantic parking lot. Click “Play” below to discover it.
Pickups, muscle cars, large sedans, campers, etc., “made in USA” make up this collection. The most interesting thing is that among all these vehicles parked outdoors, some seem to withstand the test of time well, probably thanks to Colorado’s specific climate, rather dry and without too much precipitation. Other cars appear, in the video in question, in a state of wreckage. Therefore, some of these abandoned vehicles could, after a few repairs, very certainly hit the road again to leave this car cemetery.
Finally, on the opposite, in France, for years, an abandoned stone quarry has welcomed French and foreign cars in very poor condition, some of which have undoubtedly been stolen. Thus, the people who chose to hide vehicles in this “quarry of automotive horrors” did not hesitate to set some of them on fire. It’s to be discovered or rediscovered by clicking on the image above.
