Not a day goes by without news about the Tesla Cybertruck. The law enforcement of the city of Las Vegas, specifically the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), will receive ten 100% electric pick-ups. These vehicles, dear to a certain Elon Musk, will also be used by the SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics) teams.
On the other side of the Atlantic, while Elon Musk is under scrutiny due to an inappropriate gesture, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) officers will soon be driving Tesla Cybertruck. The LVMPD has just posted photos of their new electric vehicles on Facebook. Precisely ten Cybertruck are joining the LVMPD fleet, with half of these 100% electric pick-ups dedicated to SWAT (Special Weapons and Tactics).
It’s worth noting that the Tesla Cybertruck used by the Las Vegas police are not just mere “image” electric vehicles for promotionals events or others shows . Elon Musk’s pick-ups will indeed operate on the Las Vegas Strip. These vehicles won’t go unnoticed as they have been decorated and equipped with all the necessary elements for police officers to carry out their various missions. It should also be noted that these Cybertruck were donated to the LVMPD by a benefactor.
Beyond the black-painted bodywork displaying the “Next-Gen Patrol” message, numerous blue and red LED bars are present on the 100% electric pick-up.
As for the SWAT-dedicated version of the Tesla Cybertruck, it logically appears in a military configuration, notably with off-road tires. Perfect for driving in the Mojave Desert.
Finally, if you travel to the United States in the coming days and visit Las Vegas, don’t hesitate, with a touch of humor and provocation, to take a photo of the LVMPD and SWAT Tesla Cybertruck, to please Elon Musk, or not!
