Mark your calendar! In line with the announcement of its financial results for fiscal year 2024, Ferrari has just confirmed the date when its first electric car will be unveiled. In a few months, on October 9, 2025, the “Prancing Horse” will go 100% electric with a first model, probably an SUV, but nothing is certain yet. To date, the first 100% electric Ferrari is nicknamed “elettrica.”

In June 2024, Ferrari inaugurated its new building dedicated to its electrified models. It is within the Ferrari e-building (pictured in this article) that the first electric Ferrari is being developed. In this respect, the Italian car manufacturer will produce its own batteries, knowing that the cells of these batteries should logically be supplied by the South Korean specialist, SK Group. Indeed, SK Group is already the supplier of the Maranello firm, notably for the SF90 Stradale, Ferrari’s first PHEV (Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle). On October 9, 2025, Ferrari will unveil its first EV (Electric Vehicle) or BEV (Battery Electric Vehicle). This year, another event highlighting Ferrari is represented by the arrival of Lewis Hamilton as a driver for Scuderia Ferrari.

The announcement of the presentation date of its first electric car almost overshadows the presentation of the financial results of the Italian car brand: 13,752 Ferraris sold in 2024 – net income up 11.8% – revenue: €6.68 billion.

On the side of Ferrari’s closest and historic competitor, Lamborghini will wait until 2027 to unveil its very first 100% electric model. However, it is known that it will be a 100% electric SUV, as the bull car manufacturer unveiled, in August 2023, the Lanzador 100% electric concept car (pictured above) presented as an “Ultra-GT.”

Finally, the first electric Ferrari could, in terms of price, be displayed at over €500,000. It remains to be seen whether the most loyal Ferrari customers will embrace the 100% electric.
