Discreetly appearing on social media in October 2024, the Citroën Ami in the style of Type H will be one of the attractions of the Rétromobile 2025 show dedicated to classic cars and vintage cars. Indeed, on its website, Carrosserie Caselani announces the presence of the Citroën Type-Ami in Paris, from February 5th to 9th.
We were already familiar with the modifications developed by Carrosserie Caselani, namely the van inspired by the Citroën 2CV and the Type HG and Type H, these being designed on the bases, respectively, of the Berlingo, Jumpy and Jumper, with various configurations like camper van, food truck, etc. This time, it is the turn of the 100% electric light quadricycle Ami to become, thanks to the Italians of Carrosserie Caselani, the Citroën Type-Ami. This “mini Citroën Type H” 100% electric will be exhibited at Rétromobile 2025.
As part of Rétromobile 2025, Carrosserie Caselani should therefore communicate on the details of its preparation offer which concerns the Ami with a body, visually in corrugated sheet, but in plastic.
Citroën Ami, Fiat Topolino, Mobilize Duo (pictured below at the Mondial de L’Auto), other Aixam… electric license-free cars have thus become essential. The Ami in the style of Type H “by Carrosserie Caselani”, officially named “Citroën Type-Ami” will therefore be marketed in a few weeks.
Let’s recall that, in terms of engine, nothing will change for the Citroën Type-Ami with still a power of 6 kW, a battery capacity of 5.5 kWh. The Ami can reach a maximum speed of 45 km/h, as a light quadricycle L6e. With a simple AM license, the Ami can be driven from the age of 14.
Finally, how many electric cars, like the Citroën Type-Ami from Carrosserie Caselani, will be present at Rétromobile 2025? In 2024, in our opinion, there were far too many.
