In a few days, the Rétromobile 2025 Show will open its doors from February 5 to 9. As part of this unmissable event dedicated to classic and vintage cars, as well as other vehicles from the past, Artcurial Motorcars will organize two auctions. Within the catalog of “The Official Sale” (257 lots) of Rétromobile 2025, you can find a rare 1964 Citroën 2CV Sahara. Be prepared to get out your checkbook, or even take out a 10-year loan for some, in order to acquire it. Indeed, this 4×4 “Deudeuche” is estimated between €80,000 and €120,000.
The Citroën 2CV needs no introduction, being one of the most beloved cars among the French, with the “Deudeuche” nickname still enchanting die-hard fans of the chevron brand, across all generations. In a few days, in Paris, during Rétromobile 2025, Artcurial Motorcars will thus auction a rare 1964 Citroën 2CV Sahara 4×4, with two engines (front/rear). According to the experts at Artcurial Motorcars, only 693 units of the Citroën 2CV Sahara were assembled in Vigo, Spain, between 1961 and 1967. In a completely different field, at Rétromobile 2025, the Citroën Ami Type H by Carrosserie Caselani will be displayed.
The Citroën 2CV Sahara 4×4 in question bears the chassis number 2005.000080. As for its front and rear engines, they are, respectively, numbered 9854 and 6209 617446. This rare Citroën 2CV Sahara 4×4 appears in very good condition in the photos published by Artcurial Motorcars. According to these same photos, the 4×4 “Deudeuche” of “The Official Sale” of Rétromobile 2025 shows a mileage of 35,983 km.
In terms of engine, the Citroën 2CV Sahara is powered by two 425 cm³ twin-cylinder engines. The 2CV Sahara 4×4 develops a total of 26 hp, but for a rather reduced weight of around 735 kilos.
