Audi introduces the Q6 e-tron offroad concept, which, as the name suggests, is a concept car. This 100% electric 4×4 is based on the production model Q6 e-tron, but with numerous evolutions, designed to drive on snow, or elsewhere, where there are no roads or almost none. From a high-end 100% electric SUV, the Q6 e-tron therefore transforms into an extreme machine.
Between 2022 and 2024, Audi participated in the Dakar Rally with the RS Q e-tron. Last year, the brand triumphed at the rally-raid finish line, thanks to Carlos Sainz. The Audi Q6 e-tron offroad concept somewhat follows in the footsteps of the RS Q e-tron.
Raised, equipped with off-road tires, additional headlights at the front and for its roof rack, not to mention widened fenders, the Q6 e-tron offroad concept is visually impressive. Audi, Gernot Döllner (CEO of Audi), tells us more:
“The Audi Q6 e-tron off-road concept is a reinterpretation of the quattro. The model shows the potential that our platform for electric vehicles already has today. This vehicle can conquer new territories. We are eager to see our clients’ reactions to this highly emotive car”.
On the technical side, Audi only shares some information about its 100% electric 4×4, namely its maximum power of 380 kW/517 hp and its torque that can reach 13,400 Nm. Enough to go anywhere, including 45° slopes. What about the range, especially in winter at full power?
Finally, the Audi Q6 e-tron off-road concept will debut in Austria on February 1, 2025, during an ice race organized in Zell am See. It remains to be seen what use such a 100% electric 4×4 can have off the beaten track and whether the German automaker will dare to go from concept car to production model, or even a limited series?
