Just a few more hours of waiting for the tifosi who are more than eager to see Lewis Hamilton arrive at Scuderia Ferrari in Maranello. According to some Italian sources, the seven-time Formula 1 World Champion could be in Maranello as early as tomorrow. Then, in the coming days, around January 20th, Lewis Hamilton will take the wheel of a Ferrari F1 car for the first time.

In the coming hours, everything will accelerate in Maranello, where Scuderia Ferrari is, of course, based. Before taking command of the Ferrari SF-25 for the first time during the first official pre-season F1 2025 tests (February 26-28 in Bahrain), the new teammate of Charles Leclerc will undergo a short learning period in Italy with his new employer, Scuderia Ferrari.

From tomorrow, if the arrival of Lewis Hamilton is confirmed in Maranello, the tifosi will be “in a frenzy” in the streets of the city located in the Modena province. Hamilton will start with a visit to the Scuderia Ferrari site, then it will be time to mold his seat. Simulator sessions and exchanges with the Scuderia Ferrari engineers will be among the activities for Lewis Hamilton in the coming days. Then, the big moment will arrive when the one who just celebrated his 40th birthday takes command of a red car for the very first time, probably the F1-75 (2022) or the SF-23. It will be within the framework of FIA-regulated Testing of Previous Cars (TPC) that the British driver will drive on the Fiorano test track.

Specifically, two so-called “private” test sessions are on Lewis Hamilton’s agenda in the coming days, without precise dates yet. Charles Leclerc (pictured below during the 2024 Monaco GP) will undoubtedly be present in Maranello to welcome his new teammate.

For the past few days, on social media, Scuderia Ferrari has been cleverly teasing the arrival of Lewis Hamilton in Maranello. After presenting a birthday cake on January 7th for Hamilton’s 40th birthday, a table has been set in a restaurant for Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton. It’s something to enjoy below in the video.

Finally, it is clear that Lewis Hamilton aims for an 8th world title by joining Scuderia Ferrari. The British champion wants to achieve a hat-trick after winning the 2008 F1 World Championship with McLaren-Mercedes. Then, 6 world titles followed with Mercedes-AMG F1 Team (2014, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020).
